Volunteers

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with PyLadiesCon. Please review prerequisites prior to signing up.

Prerequisites

Ensure you have created an account for PyLadiesCon. Information on how to do that is on the getting started page.

Communication for PyLadiesCon is done via Discord. Go to Discord to register for an account.

Review available volunteer roles, responsibilties, and required commitment for the roles in our main conference site. Keep the teams in mind for your signup.

Signup

Once you're ready to volunteer, please follow these steps:

  1. Go to the portal website and sign in
  2. Go to Volunteer
  3. Click create your volunteer profile
  4. Fill in required information (hours available, Discord username, language selection, team selection etc.). Feel free to fill in additional information about what skills you have so we can determine what team best fits your skillset or interests.

You'll receive an email from pyladiescon@pyladies.com stating that your volunteer application was received.

Review

After you've filled out your volunteer profile, our team leads will review your application and assign you to the appropriate roles and begin the onboarding process.

Accepted applications will be given access to necessary resources, e.g. Discord roles, GDrive permissions etc. All communications will be done via the email that you signed up with.
